While In Munich, I quite often purchase a Bayern-Ticket for unlimited travel during one day from 09:00. On a number of occasions, I have started the day with a run out to Passau on the München-Landshut-Plattling-Passau strecke. Here are a few photos taken between October 2014 and June 2016.
München Hbf - my ride, a BR 440 on the 09:24 service to Passau
Landshut - BR 482 SBB Cargo with ARS Altmann car transporter wagons
Landshut - unusual to still see the KVG logo on this Zaes tank wagon, owned by GATX Rail Austria
Plattling - BR 294 shunter, in the goods yard along side the station (pity about the additional chimney above the cab!)
Plattling - BR 152 just arrived with a train of wagons loaded with wood
Plattling - BR 111 on a service from München to Passau. On the other track is a BR 440 (marked Donau-Isar-Express) on a return service from Passau to München
Plattling - busy period in the station - view from the pedestrian overbridge. The Agilis BR 440 (immediately behind the Roos-t 645 wood loaded wagon) would be my next ride from Plattling to Regensburg.
Passau - OBB 1142 in siding with a city-shuttle train
Passau - OBB 1144 with an IC train from Austria, during a rain shower
Passau - station building with BR 440 waiting to return to München
Passau - BR 120 on an IC service, and a BR 185 passing with a mixed freight
Passau - brand new BR 187 of Austrian rail company LTE (187 930)
