If you shift to the late 1940's/early 1950's you could also take the "Schiefe Ebene" in Northern Bavaria. Of course, there is always the American approach of "prototype freelancing". As long as the landscape is convincing, you could use the mentioned locos in a "generic" southern German setting: 38.10 and 86 definitely were used in the Black Forrest region, and 85's were used on the Hoellentalbahn. Clearly, you could argue that a 95 is used there for purposes of comparison.
