Good morning All,

Have spent the morning stripping the coach down to its component parts, most are clip fit and easy to take apart, the windows were removed with the careful use of a very sharp knife, this was achieved by running the blade along the bottom edge of the glazing unit releasing the light glue bond and slightly raising the blade to release the tight fitting window, care is required as a small piece of plastic is above the glazing unit which is there to hold the glazing in position.
I have obtained a bronze paint which closely replicates the brass window frames used by the DB.
The coach interior is basic in detail, but has the walls in the correct position and other details where they should be, first job is to paint the walls light wood brown with the exception of the toilet and kitchen which is white.
Kitchen equipment is stainless steel, seats in the first class compartments are a light grey, table tops in the dining area are white and the chairs are olive green.
Painting of the interior will be first and the coach body later.

that's it for now!!
