As an intelligent guess, the Talbot waggons discharge materials through a door in the floor of the hopper to a chute leading down onto or beside the track and I think they can do this while the train is moving. This can be accomplished anywhere. Also, the amount emptied can be controlled, and the hopper left partially full afterwards.

The Muldenkippwagens are emptied by running the waggons through an unloading bay built beside (around, over) the track, part of an industrial facility. Instead of the material coming out through a door in the floor of the hopper, the hopper(s) are sequentially tipped over as the waggons progress through the unloader, with the material coming out over the edge of the tilting hopper. The hoppers are completely emptied during the operation.

The Talbot waggons cannot handle large rocks (as they block the chute), whereas the Muldenkippwagens can handle anything that fits in the hopper (for example old black and white TVs or microwave ovens).

I might be wrong.
