Hello-
I hope everyone is enjoying the summer.
I have a Lenz LZV100 as well as LH100 and LH90 controllers (one each) connected through a Lenz LA152 XPressnet adapter. In the past few days, the system has become erratic. Some locomotives work, others don't at all. My decoders are mostly ESU Lokpilot 4s, plus I have 2 loks with ESU Loksound decoders (one in a Fleischmann 74118 and one in a Precision Craft Models BR01). I also have a brand new Roco 63078 VT98 Railbus with sound purchased in early summer. The ESU Loksound locomotives as well as the Roco VT98 seemed to have been working fine until last night, but I have been having problems with my Fleischmann non-souind loks with ESU Lokpilot decoders.
Last night the system started becoming very erratic-- the LH100 would show "LH100" in the display and not work, the emergency stop button didn't work, and the loks that did work before stopped responding altogether. I could still read the decoder values in programming mode though. I tried resetting the decoders to factory default but that didn't change anything. I tried resetting the LZV100 by setting address "0000" and pressing F4 25 times. The first reset seems to have worked initially but things started getting funky again so I tried another reset and that did not work. Now the only thing that works is emergency stop and nothing else.
Does anybody have any ideas? I suspect there is a failure in the LZV100. It's pretty critical for me since my layout is operational only in the summer (in the family country house) and time is running out...
Thanks in advance.
Richard
