I have been a late starter to DCC and still finding my way. I have a Multimaus controller and some loks with DCC decoders but now I want to progress by purchasing and installing sound decoders in two locos - BR01.10 oil burner and a V160. I am considering using ESU V4 sound decoders and I have searched the ESU site and identified two decoders appropriate for the loks so hopefully I will place an order with South West Digital asap. My question is related to synchronisation of chuff sound regards the BR01.10. Will the decoder arrive with sound preset to synchronise with the wheel motion or will further work be necessary? Will I need to carry out tweaks from my Multimaus controller (if possible) to ensure sync is correct?. I have seen many YouTube vids of steam loks and wheel motion completely out of sync with sound - something I will not be able to live with.
Many thanks for any advice.
