I have a Fleischmann HO-scale Lok-Sound model of the BR 003 under their model number 410371 that dates from the mid-2000s. Unfortunately the original decoder has given up the ghost - it still reacts to sound and light commands, but not to accelerate/decelerate/reverse commands, and I get an error when I try to read/write CVs. I inquired about a replacement at Fleischmann only to be informed they don't offer a replacement decoder. The original decoder is a factory-fitted ESU Lok-Sound that is wired-in i.e. no socket.
It is a nice model with only 46 running hours, so I am looking for ideas. Does anyone have any advice?
