Few weeks ago I bougth some Weinert's DKW (Double Slip) which by the way are nothing cheap (at least for me).
Well, at first look they are superb finishing and worth every cent!
However, trying to get things to work, I unfortunately detected a very serious assembly error in one of them.... I mean: one of the outer Rail was assembled (slide) 180° horizontally than it should be, so, totaly blocking the 'moving' rail part to fit on the outer rail.
To make things worse, I can not reverse the outer rail position because the rails are wire soldered underneath!
At same time I'm not feeling confident to send back the DKW to the Store, because Customs fee, shipping charges, time spent waiting for, and so on.... not to mention that I live in another country very far from the Store in Germany.
I think the most I can do is try to take that wire off, and reverse the rail, but all this will be for my own risk .... if I damage something, I'll overpay for the Weinert's mistake!
I admit that this issue got me very upset with Weinert.
